Privacy Policy
Controller: SolTechnology Adrian Strugała, [Street, Postal code City], Poland, NIP [●], contact@soltechnology.dev.
This policy explains what personal data we process, why, and your rights under the GDPR.
1. Our software
Our libraries (for example AvroConvert) run entirely inside your own applications. They do not collect telemetry, do not call home and do not transmit any data to us. A licence key is verified locally using a public key embedded in the library.
2. This website
soltechnology.dev is a static site hosted on GitHub Pages (GitHub, Inc.) and served through Cloudflare DNS. These providers process connection data (IP address, user agent, request time) in server logs for security and delivery; we do not receive this data in identifiable form.
We do not use analytics cookies or advertising trackers. Fonts are loaded from Google Fonts, which processes your IP address to deliver the font files (Google privacy policy).
3. Purchases
When you buy a licence, the checkout is operated by Paddle.com Market Ltd, our reseller and Merchant of Record, acting as an independent controller for the transaction. Paddle collects your name, e-mail, billing address, tax identifiers and payment details to process the order, issue the invoice and handle tax compliance. See Paddle’s privacy policy.
Paddle shares with us the data needed to fulfil the order: licensee name, e-mail, company, country, product and subscription status. We use it to:
- issue and manage licence keys (legal basis: contract, Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR);
- provide support and send service messages about your subscription (contract);
- keep accounting records as required by Polish tax law (legal obligation, Art. 6(1)(c));
- occasionally inform existing customers about major releases of the product they licensed (legitimate interest, Art. 6(1)(f); you may object at any time).
We do not sell personal data and do not use it for third-party marketing.
4. Support and contact
E-mails sent to our addresses are processed to answer your request (legitimate interest / contract). Incoming e-mail is routed by Cloudflare Email Routing (which does not store message content) to a mailbox hosted by Google (Gmail). GitHub issues and discussions are public and governed by GitHub’s terms.
5. Retention
Order and licence records are kept for the duration of the licence relationship plus the statutory retention period for accounting documents (currently 5 years after the end of the tax year in Poland). Support correspondence is kept for up to 3 years. Website logs are retained by the hosting providers according to their policies.
6. Recipients and transfers
Processors and independent controllers involved: Paddle (UK/US; EU Standard Contractual Clauses and UK adequacy), GitHub (US; EU–US Data Privacy Framework), Cloudflare (US; DPF), Google – Gmail and Google Fonts (US; DPF). We do not transfer data outside these services.
7. Your rights
You have the right to access, rectify, erase and port your data, to restrict or object to processing, and to withdraw consent where processing is based on consent. Contact contact@soltechnology.dev. You may also lodge a complaint with the Polish supervisory authority (Prezes Urzędu Ochrony Danych Osobowych, uodo.gov.pl) or your local authority.
8. Changes
We will post any changes on this page with an updated date.
